Mentors

The FAME mentoring program matches FAME students with a mentor from the community. Mentors serve as social, emotional and professional support for students as they navigate their academic, professional and personal goals on campus.

Once mentors complete the application and training process, they will be matched with a student. During the school year the FAME program hosts various social events, trainings and opportunities for mentors and students to get involved in together.

REQUIREMENTS

Mentors are required to have a bachelor’s degree, be available to meet with their student for a minimum of 4 hours each month, complete an interview, reference and background check and participate in a mandatory orientation training.
